North Knox Technology

North Knox School Corporation has a variety of technological tools at each grade level which are tailored to a variety of learning needs. All North Knox students and staff have a free Google Apps for Education account. These accounts allow users to work on school work on any device regardless of their location. Teachers create assignments in Google Suite or Google Classroom and then virtually share them with students. Students can work on homework and at anytime collaborate with teachers digitally. All of these tasks can take place without printing a single sheet of paper. North Knox utilizes SchoolMessenger to notify students and parents of delays, cancellations, and other pertinent information via text and recorded message. Phone numbers should be updated as needed with each building's office staff.

North Knox Primary, which houses grades K - 2, has an interactive display in every classroom. All classroom teachers at North Knox Primary have a Windows 10 desktop computer and Chromebooks for student use.  NKP has a lab of Windows 10 desktop computers which is used for a variety of educational resources in all classes and grade levels.

North Knox Intermediate, which is comprised of grades 3 - 6 also has an interactive display in every classroom. NKI has 16 carts of 30 Chromebooks. Chromebooks are an inexpensive laptop computer that seamlessly integrates with students' Google Apps account.  Teachers and students at NKI use technology to take iLearn, IREAD, and iReady tests, create and edit documents in Google Apps, and complete class assignments and tests in USA Test Prep, Google Classroom.

North Knox Jr./Sr. High School houses grades 7 - 12. Every classroom has either a digital projector or an interactive display.  NKJSHS has one desktop computer lab for Project Lead the Way and 24 Chromebook carts.  Chromebooks are used for testing, internet research, document creating and editing, and a variety of other tasks. Every teacher has digitized parts of his or her curriculum in order to lessen our dependency on traditional textbooks and printing. Students can access classroom materials on any internet connected device through Google Apps for Education, or the NKJSHS Website.
